Squeezed 16x more powerful power train into electric drift kart by designing a custom fork that has clearance for the much larger motor. Keeping half of the original fork allows me to use the stock tensioner, steering wheel, and drive axle with the new motor. This design also allows for the integration of a hydraulic mtb brake which is necessary with the 4+Kw powertrain

The Basic Goal was to maintain stock fork width by hanging the motor outside of the fork Body
I am currently using a non tunable 48v motor controller that comes with the my1020
I am in the process of rebuilding the Vesc 75200 that used to power the Dune Buggy so that It can be used in the drift kart.
This controller offers great tunability for throttle curves, regen characteristics, and power settings which will help me drift more easily.
